Woman Found Buried in Shallow Grave on Kajiado Farm as Husband Is Arrested
A 34-year-old woman has been found buried in a shallow grave at a farm in Entarakuet, Kajiado County, with her husband arrested over her suspected murder, according to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
In a statement, the DCI said the discovery followed a report by a farmhand who alleged that his employer had killed his wife before instructing him to help bury her body.
The deceased was identified as Farida Peter Sangka, while her husband was named as Shon David Rabassa Kioko. The farmhand, Ndayishimiye Deo, is a Burundian national employed at the farm.
“Acting on the report, detectives visited the scene, where they arrested the suspect and the farmhand for further investigation,” the DCI stated.
Detectives secured the scene before exhuming Farida’s body in the presence of a pathologist, Ministry of Health officials and police officers.
The DCI said the remains were transferred to Nairobi Funeral Home for preservation pending a postmortem examination to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.
“Meanwhile, Kioko and Deo remain in custody as detectives pursue further investigations to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident,” the agency added.
The DCI also extended its condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring justice is served.
