Kenya Meteorological Department forecasts rainfall in parts of 25 counties and strong winds in Turkana, Samburu and Marsabit.
Rain is expected in parts of 25 counties, while northern Kenya is set to experience strong winds, according to the Kenya Meteorological Department.
The affected counties are West Pokot, Siaya, Elgeyo Marakwet, Bungoma, Kakamega, Nakuru, Trans Nzoia, Kericho, Kisii, Homa Bay, Kisumu, Mandera, Wajir, Marsabit, Nyandarua, Meru, Nyeri, Embu, Kirinyaga, Tharaka Nithi, Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi and Lamu.
The forecast means some areas within these counties can expect rain, although conditions may vary from one location to another.
In Turkana, Samburu and Marsabit, Kenya Met is warning of strong winds, with speeds expected to exceed 25 knots, or about 46 km/h.
The strong winds could make conditions difficult, particularly in exposed areas, while residents in the areas expecting rain should be prepared for changing weather conditions.
Kenya Met’s forecast covers parts of the named counties, rather than the entire counties.
